What it is

S tatistics Tools is a browser-based statistical analysis platform with 132 calculators organized across seven categories: descriptive statistics (23 tools including moving averages and process capability), confidence intervals and estimation (15 tools including bootstrap CI with BCa method and Bayesian proportion estimation), distributions and p-values (24 tools covering normal, binomial, Poisson, t, chi-square, F, beta, exponential, geometric, hypergeometric, and negative binomial), sample size and power (10 tools including A/B test calculators and Bayesian A/B testing), hypothesis tests (33 tools spanning t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square, nonparametric tests, survival analysis, and propensity score estimation), correlation and regression (18 tools including logistic regression, ROC curves, ICC with all six standard forms, and Bland-Altman analysis), and statistical reference tables (9 interactive lookup tables). Built on React, Vite, and Tailwind CSS with jStat for statistical computation, KaTeX for LaTeX-quality formula rendering, and Recharts for interactive visualizations. Every tool includes step-by-step calculation walkthroughs, preset example datasets, APA-style reporting guidance, and educational content covering assumptions, limitations, and real-world applications. Includes a 433-term statistical glossary organized both alphabetically and thematically. All computation runs client-side — no data leaves the browser. Internationalized into four languages.

What I did

  • Built 132 statistical calculators spanning descriptive statistics, confidence intervals, probability distributions, sample size planning, hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, and reference tables — powered by jStat for computation and KaTeX for formula rendering
  • Implemented advanced statistical methods rarely found in free web tools: bootstrap confidence intervals (percentile, basic, BCa methods), Bayesian A/B testing with configurable priors, propensity score estimation (IPW, matching, stratification, doubly robust), repeated measures ANOVA with Mauchly's sphericity test and Greenhouse-Geisser/Huynh-Feldt corrections, and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis with log-rank tests
  • Built all six standard ICC forms (1,1 through 3,k), Bland-Altman method comparison with limits of agreement, ROC curve analysis with AUC computation, and a confusion matrix calculator with ten classification metrics
  • Designed every tool as a self-contained learning resource — step-by-step calculation walkthroughs, preset example datasets, mathematical formulas in LaTeX, assumptions and prerequisites, APA-style reporting guidance, and links to related tools
  • Compiled a 433-term statistical glossary organized both alphabetically and by theme, with cross-references linking terms to relevant calculators
  • Built interactive statistical reference tables for z, t, chi-square, F, critical r, studentized range q, Durbin-Watson, Mann-Whitney U, and Wilcoxon signed-rank distributions
  • Designed a zero-tracking client-side architecture with all computation in JavaScript — no data leaves the browser, no accounts required
  • Internationalized 132 calculators into four languages with fully localized URLs and translated tool names, descriptions, and educational content
